I deleted a User Account without realising that it contained photos in My
Albums. Can I retrieve those photos from the hard drive?

This really has nothing to do with Word. Ask in a Windows NG.

As you're here -

When you deleted the User Account you should have had the option of deleting
or keeping the user files - if you chose "keep" all is well; if you chose
"delete", well, they got deleted.
