Access to all the features of Open Type "Pro" fonts
The "Pro" fonts in OTP format have many glyphs and characteristics apparently
not yet accessible. For instance, "old style" numbers, in-line numbers, small-caps, to name a few that are useful when producing well laid out copy. Only expensive page layout programs such as QuarkXpress and Adobe Indesign/Photoshop seem to offer these facilities. I know that MS Word is not and does not pretend to be a page layout program but handling fonts and their characteristics seems fundamental to a high-end word processor. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
