You can't.
You can download a trial version at http://office.microsoft.com/search/r...0 71033&CTT=5, but it will expire and then you'll have to buy a license. You can buy the S&T edition: http://www.microsoft.com/office/howtobuy/default.mspx or http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Offi...TF8&s=software or other online vendors, or your local office-supply store. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |

Jay, is there ANY difference in the Student/Teacher version and the standard
version other than price? "Jay Freedman" wrote: You can't. I'm not an expert on the various editions of Office, but I believe that the
software in the package is exactly the same. The difference is in the licensing terms. One difference is the number of copies that are allowed on one license. The EULA for the Professional edition says 1.1 Installation and use. You may: (a) install and use a copy of the Software on one personal computer or other device; and (b) install an additional copy of the Software on a second, portable device for the exclusive use of the primary user of the first copy of the Software. My understanding is that S&T allows installation on any three computers in the same household, or something close to that (I haven't looked up the exact language). The other major difference is that the standard edition is usually offered in a less expensive upgrade form for owners of previous versions. The S&T edition explicitly is not eligible for upgrades, so you'd have to buy a new copy to get a later version. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
