Default Why does my font list only show 3 device fonts?

Word 2003 (11.6359.6360) SP1
I dont seem to have access to the installed fonts on my system.

Click on Start | Control Panel | Printers and Faxes. If the
default printer is None, Fax, or Generic/Text Only, then select a
default printer that is capable of printing fonts, and you will
see more choices in Word.
