Default Word opens everything in markup view how to change default?

Hiya!

For some reason (perhaps I hit a shortcut by mistake?) Word has started
opening everything in 'final showing markup' view. I can change the view to
'final' but it is annoying to have to do this every time I open a document.
Is there a way of changing this?

Thanks!

Which version of Word are we discussing?

Are these files you're opening from Emails, or also via Word File/Open dialog
box?
