Default How do I conditionally hide a paragraph in word

I have a user who wants to have a various paragraphs show conitionally in
some standard documents eg IF x THEN show this paragraph ENDIF or something
along these lines. Anyone got any ideas how we can achieve this?

Default How do I conditionally hide a paragraph in word

There will be some quite long paras I considered the if field, but not quite
sure how many chars. The user had tried a fillin field with a default but
says she got to a point where it wouldn't accept any more , I assume it is
either 128 or 255, not sure if the same lmit applies to the is statement.
