Default Can Word access Windows fonts

I can't seem to access all the fonts in Windows in Word 2003. Is there a way
to do so that I'm just missing? Since the help keeps refering me to
/Windows/Fonts when I ask to install a new font for Word, I assume Word has
access to all the fonts there. Thanks for the help.

Word uses only those fonts that it thinks your printer is capable of using.
If some fonts are missing in Word, try installing a new printer (just pick
one from the list and install it on port FILE
