How do you format for double-sided document?
I am working on a report that has grown to over 100 pages. It was originally
formatted for single side printing with info in all four corners of the header and footer. Now that the doc is so large, I'd like to convert it to double-sided so I need the headers and footers to mirror each other on odd to even pages. Is there an easy way to do this globally? Thanks |

Use the File Page Setup Layout dialog and select "different odd and
even". This will give you different headers on your odd and even pages (the odd one will be as now, the even one will probably be a new blank header), which you can then edit. If your document has multiple sections, your changes will ripple through where you have "same as previous" on the header/footer, but you may need to edit separately if you have different headers and footers in different sections. If one of your four corners is a Chapter title or similar, use a StyleRef field to pick it up automatically to avoid having to have separately edited headers. -- Margaret Aldis - Microsoft Word MVP Syntagma partnership site: http://www.syntagma.co.uk Word MVP FAQ site: http://www.word.mvps.org "Tim George" Tim wrote in message ...
