TOC page number hyperlink Problem in word 2003 vs word 97
I have a TOC (field code {TOC \T "SPECHEAD1,1" }) in word 97 that provides a
table of content with page number hyperlinked. When click page number, it jump right to the page. Everything works fine in word 97. When we open the document using word 2003, the hyperlink at page number is gone. Nothing happen when click the page number at TOC. Any suggestion of how to get the hyperlink back? Thanks in advance. In Word 2003, try adding a \h switch to the field code and then press F9
to regenerate the TOC. Lisa wrote: I have a TOC (field code {TOC \T "SPECHEAD1,1" }) in word 97 that provides a table of content with page number hyperlinked. In Word 2003, by default, you must press Ctrl while clicking on the page
number to follow the link. You can change this behavior on the Edit tab of Tools | Options. -- Suzanne S. I added this switch and turn off the options Suzanne suggested and it turns
out even better, the whole line including page number is hyperlinked. Thanks. "garfield-n-odie" wrote: In Word 2003, try adding a \h switch to the field code and then press F9 to regenerate the TOC.
