To get automatic completion, use AutoCorrect instead of AutoText (they are
separate features).

Select the text you want inserted. Go to Tools AutoCorrect Options (or in
Word 2007, go to Office button Word Options Proofing AutoCorrect
Options). In the "Replace" box, enter an abbreviation that you can remember.
Click the Add button and then click OK.

When you type the abbreviation in text and press the spacebar or
punctuation, Word will replace the abbreviation with the full text.

See http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Custom...utoCorrect.htm for further
discussion.
