Default Is purchasing an add-in product the only way to customize ribbons?

I hate having "Styles" appear on the Home ribbon. Is buying an add-in product
the only way to customize the ribbons and eliminate "Styles?" I'd like to
change a lot more items, as well, but that's the one I dislike the most.
