This isn't just 1 random doc. It's lots, created by different people (so
far 8 have reported the problem), different printers and printer models.

Nope, track changes is off.

These can actually look like boxes around the text inside the cell.
It
behaves like borders around text, but that isn't set either. It's not
normal
table borders, tried adding and removing borders has no effect on
them.

print.
