Sideways label on the outside edge of pages
I would like to put a title on the long side of a page, so that when it is
filed, it can be read without needing to take it out of the file. It would be like a header or footer, but on the (out)side of the page. |

If you want it on every page, you can use a text box anchored to the header
(see http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/AnchorToHeader.htm). If you just want it on the first page, I'd still be inclined to anchor it to the header, enabling "Different first page" and anchoring it to the First Page Header, but you could also anchor it to a paragraph on the page. And of course you rotate the text in the text box. -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA http://word.mvps.org "Prati" wrote in message ...
