Can footers be set up as a default giving the file name/location
Is it possible to set up Word documents so that the file name always appears
at the bottom by defualt unless diliberately omitted. |

Yes, but do NOT do this in Normal.dot; do it in a specific document
template. See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...alTemplate.htm and http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/HeaderFooter.htm. Use the "Filename" or "Filename and path" entry on the AutoText menu on the Header and Footer toolbar. -- Suzanne S.
