flashing stuff in Word 2007
How do I get rid of the flashing logo on the top bar and the flickering
/flashing pen in the bottom bar? And how do I get the colors of the Windows XP Pro (my theme) to work fully in Word 2007. The toolbars insist on being blue no matter my theme? thanks, Joe |

If you mean the Microsoft Office button or orb, click on it and it should
stop flashing. It should only flash the first time you use a program as it is just a reminder that it is actually a button. The color of the ribbon (I'm guessing that's what you mean by toolbar) depends on the color scheme you picked for Word. It does not work with your windows theme. To change the color of Word (and its ribbon), click the orb, click "Word options" at the bottom and then, in the "Popular" tab, you can pick one of the 3 provided color schemes (blue, black, silver). I have no idea what you mean by the flashing pen in the bottom bar. Yves "removing all headers and footers" t.com wrote in message ... The 'flashing pen' is the spell checker at work. Once it has finished
spelling check, it should stop. However, if you right-click in the Status Bar, you can select what items you want displayed: uncheck it if it annoys you. -- Terry Farrell - MSWord MVP "Yves Dhondt" wrote in message ...
