Default Error message about a dialog box

I'm no PC pro and this morning when I attempted to open my first Word
document I got an error message saying that a dialog box was open and that I
would have to close it in order to continue. I have looked in the Index and
the information shown there isn't very helpful. Where is this "dialog box"
located and what do I have to do to get to my Word documents. This is not
happening when I access my Excel files.

If you're using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the
Office Plugin that comes with it. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=329820 "How to use Office
programs with the Norton AntiVirus Office plug-in" for more
information.
