Default how do i enter address's into a word document for mail merge

Hi , I am trying to find out the best format for entering address's into a
word document that can then be passed on to another person to do a mail out
for me.

Have you looked at mail merge? In what way does it not fulfill your
requirements?

If you want to discuss mail merge, tell use the version of Office you have and
where these addresses are stored (what program)
