I have a problem that described in Kb 830561. A large amount of
documets were moved from one server to another.
The documents were created from templates that exist in the old
server.
When the old server is dettached from the network the documents are
opened only after a very long delay.

The fix described in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/830561 is not
working on xp sp2
and windows 2003. Perhaps the fix is already included the sp2 - but
still the docs are very slow to open.

Removing the link to the template from all the docs by using a script
is not really realistic since there are hundreds of thousands of docs
and this will they weeks.

Is there any fix or solution that work on windows xp sp2 and windows
2003?
