Default Forms Toolbar in Word 2007

I have a question. I am still using Word 2002, however my office Manager has
a new computer with both Vista and Office 2007. I have been able to figure
out how to do most things, however I do have a dilema with respect to finding
the FORMS TOOLBAR in Word 2007. In my current version I merely go to:
viewtoolbarsforms, and up pops the little toolbar which allows me to create
a form with checkboxes, dropdown menus, and grey fields for inputing text.

For the life of me I CANNOT find this toolbar in Word 2007. Does anyone know
how I access this toolbar?

Thanks in advance!

First go to Office button Word Options Popular and check the box for "Show
Developer tab in the Ribbon". Click OK.

On the Developer tab, in the Controls group, the fourth button in the bottom row
is Legacy Tools. You'll find the items from the Forms toolbar in there, along
with what used to be on the Control Toolbox toolbar.

The Protect Document button, which is further to the right on the Developer tab
and also on the Review tab, opens the Protect Document task pane. If you want
the lock icon that simply toggles forms protection on and off, you can add that
to the Quick Access Toolbar through the Customize dialog (right-click the Quick
Access Toolbar and choose Customize).

Thank you Jay!

I printed out your response and will try it when I get to work on Monday. So
the "Protect Document" (padlock symbol for locking and unlocking the form) is
not part of the Forms Toolbar as it was in older versions of Word? I'm so
used to my current version of Word. I dread learning how to find things all
over again.

Have a nice rest of your weekend!
