Word 2000 - Mailmerge
We've been sent two Excel spreadsheets and we need to extract information
from both. Is this possible? To clarify: The names and addresses are held on one spreadsheet and we need to extract information from the other to merge into a one-page document. -- Message posted via http://www.officekb.com |

Hi Sandra,
We've been sent two Excel spreadsheets and we need to extract information from both. Is this possible? To clarify: The names and addresses are held on one spreadsheet and we need to extract information from the other to merge into a one-page document. Depends on what you need from that other document, and how it may be displayed. It would also help to know the version of Office involved. If the second document should display a table, based on a "User ID" from the first, see the discussion on multiple records in the Mail Merge FAQ on my website. Thank you for responding.
Both Word and Excel are new to me and so I apologies if I’m not very clear with my request. I’m currently using Word 2000 and Excel 2000. The two spreadsheets emailed to me were (Excel 2000): The first spreadsheet holds all members’ names and addresses: ie: Salutation Initial Surname Address1 Address 2, etc The second spreadsheet holds members names and all account details relating to that member, ie: Salutation Initial Surname NI No Account No DoB Date joined company., etc The data is to be merged into a letter. Obviously the name and address is at the top of the page and taken from the first spreadsheet. The details from the second spreadsheet are to be included in a table format on the second page of the letter. I hope you can understand my request. -- Message posted via http://www.officekb.com |

Hi Sandra,
The details from the second spreadsheet are to be included in a table format on the second page of the letter. I hope you can understand my request. Yes, my advice remains the same. See the discussion in the Special Merges sectino of my website.
