Default Form text fields and Merges

When I try to merge a form I have created in Microsoft Word all of the
text form fields disappear... any suggestions on how to make them stay??

Default Form text fields and Merges

The two features are not compatible.

You can however create a series of documents that contain formfields and
data from a data source by using visual basic to itereate through the data
source and create document variables for each piece of data and create new
documents from what would have been the mail merge main document that has
been modified to replace the merge fields with docvariable fields to display
the information contained in the document variables.
