custom border and shading for text only
I need to use the custom border and shading feature on text only. I want a
line above and below only, and I want to associate it with a style. All I can accomplish is surrounding the entire text with a box. This will repeat many many times throughout a 300-page document, so I do not want to use a text box. Any ideas for me? |

custom border and shading for text only
You cannot apply custom borders to selected text; the best you can do is a
line above or below (or on selected sides), and this requires a field (see http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/Overbar.htm). You can apply custom shading to selected text and save this as a character style. -- Suzanne S.
