Bob,
Nice idea, but I can't find view gridline toggle. I looked carefully in the grid, toggle, and view areas of the list but don't see it. Do you recall exactly what it's called? Thanks, Elbert "Bob Buckland ?:-)" wrote: Hi Elbert, If you're using a tablet you may find it easier to use Tools=Customize Commands and from the 'All Commands' category drag the View Gridline toggle to a toolbar where you can click/tap it. ======== "Elbert" wrote in message ... Hi Bob, Thanks for your helpful reply. You're right--insert/paste pictures is "in-line with text" by default, and if I change that things happen as you say they will. I've taken your suggestion to make alt-g toggle the grid lines. It would be cooler if they would just go away when I leave the canvas (especially as I'm doing some work with a tablet pc, and alt-g isn't quite as convenient to hit as when you're using a keyboard), but turning them on and off with alt-g is an improvement over working my way through the menus. Thanks again, Elbert -- Let us know if this helped you, Bob Buckland ?:-) MS Office System Products MVP *Courtesy is not expensive and can pay big dividends* For Everyday MS Office tips to "use right away" - http://microsoft.com/events/series/a...andtricks.mspx |
