Default Styles/Outline Numbered Lists

Hi there - is it possible to have x2 styles linked to the same numbered list?
Many thanks.

You can base a style on a numbered style, and the numbering will
continue from paragraphs using the child style to paragraphs using the
parent style (and vice versa). Note that you cannot modify the
numbering of the child style in any way; if you do this, numbering
will be removed from the parent.

Alternatively, if you are trying to link styles to different levels of
the same outline-numbered list, see
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numb...Numbering.html.

Thanks for this. Your first paragraph does help me and this is what I have
done - however if I try to restart numbering on level 1 of the "child" style
- I find that it does restart - however it reverts the style to the parent
style. Is there any way round this?

Use a LISTNUM field to restart numbering. See
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Numbering/...tByLISTNUM.htm.
