Can you apply different editing restrictions within a word documen
I am looking to apply two different types of editing restrictions to a word
document that I'll be protecting. I want to apply "filling in forms" to some areas and "comments" to other areas. Reason for the two different types is that I need to have one area where individuals can do a spell check. The "filling in forms" area does not allow for spell checking. I am using Microsoft Office Wod 2003, Professional Edition. THANK YOU! |

Can you apply different editing restrictions within a word documen
Hi ?B?WkFEQQ==?=,
I am looking to apply two different types of editing restrictions to a word document that I'll be protecting. I want to apply "filling in forms" to some areas and "comments" to other areas. Reason for the two different types is that I need to have one area where individuals can do a spell check. The "filling in forms" area does not allow for spell checking. You can't apply two different types of protection to the same document, I'm afraid. There is a macro to spellcheck a form on word.mvps.org; not sure whether that will help... Possibly, you could use the new type of protection ("no changes" introduced in Word 2003: you can select the regions the user may edit, then click the checkbox next to "Everyone". Comments will work in this mode.
