Default why copy, paste from web page to word takes lot of time.

i have windows xp professional and when i try to copy any text from a web
page to a word 2003 document it takes alot of time. even for a single line.
can u suggest me why this is hapenning?

Because Word has to interpret the line as web content, so it has to do a
whole heap of work to read the style sheet, etc, which involves a lot of
reads back from the original web site, to make sure it's doing it properly.

Use PasteSpecial and paste as text.
