How to turn off auto indentions when using tab key in Word
When typing in a Word document and using the tab key, Word indents entire
paragraphs, lines, and such. I don't want it to move any line other than the one I tabed. I have gone to tools - auto correct - auto format and auto correct and deselected every thing. It still auto moves things. This is the most annoying feature of Word. Please tell me how to turn it off. |

How to turn off auto indentions when using tab key in Word
In Word 97 and 2000, click on Tools | Options | Edit | uncheck
the "Tabs and backspace set left indent" box | OK. In Word 2002 and 2003, click on Tools | AutoCorrect Options | AutoFormat As You Type | uncheck the "Set left- and first-indent with tabs and backspaces" box | OK. music teacher wrote: When typing in a Word document and using the tab key, Word indents entire paragraphs, lines, and such.
