Default format changes

I have a document that was created in Word 2000. When I open it in Word 2003
the margins are changed, the page size and font size appear to be reduced,
and the whole layout is moved toward the left margin.

Default format changes

It would appear that the document contains tracked changes or comments. Word
is allowing space for the "balloons." See
