Default Using Apostrophe Writes Text?

I am using a free trial of office for students and in Word, every time I try
to use the apostrophe key I get the following text : This is a test 08:20:15
Real time

Can anyone please help me get rid of this and just have the apostrophe back?

Thanks!

You could look in Office Button | Word Options | Proofing | AutoCorrect
Options to see if there is an AutoCorrect entry for the apostrophe.
