Default How to continue a column on the next page without breaking it?

The desired result should be that all the document/section consists of a
number columns- each of them continues on the next page and not in the next
column on the same page.

The only way to achieve that in Word is with a table. Keep in mind that Word
has problems with long single-row tables (and this is a definite problem if
you have footnotes), so begin a new row wherever possible. If you can split
the table from time to time as well, so much the better.
