Default How to export AutoCorrect entries in Word 2003? Or print them out

Am desperately trying to move my AutoCorrects to another computer, or at
minimum, print them out. Found some instructions for earlier versions of
Word, but not Word 2003. Anyone know how? Why is this not easier?!

They do not address Word 2003, only previous versions. But I'm no computer
genius (by a long shot!!) so maybe I just don't know how to adapt the
instructions from Method 1 for my version . . . can anyone tell me a
step-by-step way to do this? Thanks, Greg, for answering!

I tried opening C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\1033.MSO.ACL but
it said there was no program available to open it. I looked around online a
little but can't find how to open it. Do you know what program I need to open
it and where I can obtain it?

I also tried adding an AutoCorrect entry and then searching for it but
nothing turned up.

Thanks again for trying to help me!

You need to download the AutoCorrect.zip file and use the utility provided.
Forget about the other methods.

Got it! Thanks, Suzanne!!! I was able to move them to a word doc and print
them. I'd also like to somehow move them to another computer now but am not
sure how to do that part. (Please keep in mind that I'm pretty new to all

You should get an AutoCorrect.dot file when you open the AutoCorrect.zip.
When you open this file, it contains the following instructions:

To back up your AutoCorrect entries to a Word file
The AutoCorrect macro runs automatically when you open this template; but if
you cancel out of the dialog, you can click on the €śStart€ť button on the
€śAutoCorrect€ť toolbar. If the Toolbar isnt visible, right-click on any
toolbar and select €śAutoCorrect€ť from the list of toolbars.

Select €śBackup€ť. The macro will export all your AutoCorrect entries to a
Word document. It will allow you to choose the filename and save path but
defaults to your default document directory, with a default filename of:
€śAutoCorrect Backup Document€ť.

To import the AutoCorrect entries into Word from the backup document
Select €śRestore€ť. Browse for the Word file that you backed up, and Bob's
your Uncle.

Copy both files to a floppy disk or other portable media and then paste
them on the desktop of the new computer. Open the .dot file on the new
computer and restore from the .doc file.

They do not address Word 2003, only previous versions. But I'm
no
computer genius (by a long shot!!) so maybe I just don't know
how
to
adapt the instructions from Method 1 for my version . . . can
anyone
tell me a step-by-step way to do this? Thanks, Greg, for
answering!

computer,
or at minimum, print them out. Found some instructions for
earlier
versions of Word, but not Word 2003. Anyone know how? Why is
this
not easier?!
