It depends on how many labels you want to make. If you just want a few (one
sheet or less), go to Tools | Envelopes and Labels (Tools | Letters and
Mailings | Envelopes and Labels in Word 2002 and 2003), select the Labels
tab, choose your label, and click New Document. This will give you a full
sheet of labels that you can type in as you like and then print. They're set
up as a table, so make sure you have table gridlines displayed (Table | Show
Gridlines) so that you can see the label boundaries.

If you need to make more than one sheet of labels (a lot of addresses),
you're better off using a mail merge. See these articles:
