Default Office 2003 word open xp word

Hi ... I have Windows xp pro sp2 and Office 2003 ... Whenever I use Xp word
and save the file on my computer , the next time I try to open this same
file , Office 2003 word loads up instead of xp word , How do you set Office
2003 word not to load any files that XP Word was used ? Thanks

I am not sure why you would want to do that, but if you want to open
document with Word XP rather than Word 2003, start Word XP and the use the
FileOpen command.

Hope this helps.

You would have to do that in the File Associations dialogs Start
With line: But then Off 2003 docs would never be opened
automatically. It's one or the other.

Hi ... Thanks for your help , Well I guess this is one thing I don't like
about Office then, There should be some sore of setting in Office so that it
can open automatically for Office doc and not for XP word , I mean they are
2 different programs , So why does Office have to take over XP Word doc ,
its stupid , You should have the option to be able to use both automatically
, Oh well I will just have to learn to live with it , thanks
