Default Mail Merge and dates

I am trying to change the date on a mailmerged letter from 03 May 2006 to 3
May 2006. When I use Print Preview the date changes back to 03 May 2006. How
do I prevent this?

You obviously have a DATE field there, and the field updates (i.e.) on
printing/switching to PrintPreview. With the cursor in the field, hit
CTRL-SHIFT-F9 (this breaks the field, turns it into its own result) and
correct the date as needed.

Greetings

Hi JS,

You can control this by adding a date switch to your mailmerge field. To do
this:
.. select the field and press Shift-F9 to expose the filed code, which will
look something like:
{MAILMERGE MyDate} or {MAILMERGE MyDate \@ "dd-MMMM-yyyy"}
.. edit the field to look like:
{MAILMERGE MyDate \@ "d-MMMM-yyyy"} (note the uppercase 'M's).
.. press F9 to update the field
.. run your mailmerge

Cheers
