IF Condition for XML Tags
Is it possible to put IF field codes or some sort of IF condition using a Xml
tag as the expression (ie. to use the data supplied to a XML Tag). I have a ..Net application which supplies/populates XML tags in a word template. I have done extensive searching on the net but can't work out if this is possible. I know you can use mailmerge fields within a IF field code. Any help much appreciated. |

Hi ?B?U3RldmU=?=,
Is it possible to put IF field codes or some sort of IF condition using a Xml tag as the expression (ie. to use the data supplied to a XML Tag). I have a ..Net application which supplies/populates XML tags in a word template. I have done extensive searching on the net but can't work out if this is possible. I know you can use mailmerge fields within a IF field code. Any help much appreciated. Try using an IncludeText field with the special switches for XML, nested within the IF field. That will display the XML content as text, and the IF field can work on that. This does mean, however, that this XML would have to be saved in a file somewhere. If that's not a possibility, then your XSLT or .NET will have to do the IF work, before populating the document.
