good reference for templates?
I am working on a project that involves creating a number of templates
for our contracts department. I have found lots of guides that show you how to create basic templates, but I need something much more robust. Can anyone recommend a good book or site to help with the ins and outs of creating a suite of Word templates that play well together? Thanks, Erin |

Thanks, Erin Hi Erin, Have you been to http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...platePart2.htm yet? Also, mainly Mac-oriented but valid for Windows too, there's a ton of useful stuff in http://word.mvps.org/MacWordNew/Bend/BendWord.htm -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org |

Look at the article Jay referred you to; it is the best source I know about.
For more on the different kinds of templates, tabs on the file new dialog, and locations of templates folders see http://addbalance.com/usersguide/templates.htm. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup.
