Word could not create the work file. Check the temp environmental
Sometimes when I open Word I get the error message - "Word could not create
the work file. Check the temp environmental variable" - When this happens sometimes unusual things happen like lockup or won't save. How can I check temp environmental variable? -- Chuck |

Answered in another newsgroup (I'll let you try to figure out which one).
When you post the same question to different newsgroups, isn't it difficult to try to keep track of when/if it's answered? It's kind of like calling six different libraries and asking each the same research question. So, you might have 5 different librarians trying to find the answer to a question that a 6th librarian has already answered. Word could not create the work file. Check the temp environmental
perhaps the reason why he is posting here is because he cannot find
the answer in other groups. hmmmm if u look at other groups none of them relate to vista or word 2007, all are xp and word 2003. perhaps the reason he is having a problem is because he is not as computer savy. mabye cant find the other groups. if you wont answer him then dont post anything. i have the same exact problem as him and am looking for help with my version. yes i tried the other versions advice and it did not work. what you are doing is being an ass.
