Default Adding borders

The reason Word changes to Print Layout view when you add borders is that
borders are not visible in Normal view.

If you make use of borders often, do the following: Create a new blank
document. Add page borders as desired. Change to Normal view. Save the
document as a template. Create a document based on this template each time
you need this particular formatting; the newly created document will display
in Normal view.
