Default How do I designate which folder is set to when I open a word doc?

I want it to automatically open every time into a specific folder so I dont
have to hunt and peck for the files I open all the time... how do I do this?
I thought it was "Add to favorites" but that means still that I have to click
another button in the open dialog box (or save, etc) to find my directory I
want it to automatically open into anyway!

thanks

In Word, click on Tools | Options | File Locations, and change
the folder for "Documents" to what you want.
