How do I type a complement in MS Word?
I am trying to type a character with a bar over it in MS Word (Times New
Roman, 12-point font). I know that you can go Insert -- Field, click on "Eq" and insert a Field that looks like this: EQ \O(x,¯) This works OK with small characters like x and n, but if I want, for example, an M-complement, the bar is not wide enough to stretch the entire length of the M character. I know that I can expand the width of the character in the Format -- Font -- Character Spacing menu, but for some reason when expanded, the width of the overbar character does not change like it should. Can anybody show me an adequate solution for this? |
