For the life of me I cannot guess what the funny circle and blue arrows
refer to! But there are many ways to navigate a document. Firstly, there is a built-in command you can add to your toolbar - Go to ToC (go to table of contents). The ToC page numbers are hyperlinked, so you can navigate around that way. Word remembers the 5 previous edit points: Shift+F5 will GoBack to these. (Note if the document has only just been opened, it only remember the last edit point.) You can use the DocMap (command tool on the Standard Toolbar) and use this to display outline headings (right click on the DocMap to change the setting options) and click on heading levels to move around the document. This is probably the best navigation tool and is my preferred choice when editing long documents. -- Terry Farrell - MS Word MVP "Grd" wrote in message ... ...bottom of the scroll bar.
