I have dotted lines all over which I don't want visible.
When I'm working there are dotted lines and boxes everywhere which I don't
want visible whilst I'm working. I need to Print Screen my document but those annoying marqueed lines are covering a patterned picture which means they would be difficult to remove even in a decent Image Editing program. I don't want them visible, so is there a way of not showing them? I am using Windows XP and Microsoft Word 2003. |

Switch them off: Tools Options.

Dotted lines could be coming from:
1. Table gridlines: turn them off with Table | Hide Gridlines. 2. Text boundaries: clear the check box on the View tab of Tools | Options. 3. Hidden text (dotted underline): clear the check box on the View tab of Tools | Options or use the Show/Hide ΒΆ button on the Standard toolbar to hide all nonprinting characters. 4. Drawing grid: Display the Drawing toolbar, choose Draw | Grid, and clear the box for "Show gridlines on screen. Another approach is to take your screen shot in Print Preview. -- Suzanne S.
