Default How to find an Office 2000 Word file that says,"This file can't b

How can I find an Office 2000 Word file if when I try to open the file it has
a Message saying, "This file could not be found. Try one or more of the
following: *Check the spelling of the name of the Document. *Try a different
file name," but after trying these suggestions I still don't find the file.

*How* are you trying to find the file? How are you opening it if you can't
find it?

Reading between the lines, it seems to be a registration issue - First see
how to re-register Word when problems crop up opening files
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ReRegisterWord.htm and if that doesn't
fix it select a document in Windows Explorer, right click and choose Open
with...

From the ensuing dialog select Word (winword.exe) and check the box to
always open with this application.

One good guess is that it is at the bottom of the File menu and can't be
found because the listing represents a temporary file created when a
document was opened from an attachment.
