Murphy's Law says a trial version will expire when you need it most. I have
to ask - if you weren't going to buy it, why even bother using it at all? (I've asked that question several times and no one has ever answered it.) I've heard Open Office will work but I've never used it. I've always used Microsoft Office, regardless of the cost. I'm sure if you Google for Open Office, you'll find a link. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] "Alice" wrote in message ... I always thought that the Student & Teacher edition was a good value at
about $125 US. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...lance&n=229534 But, if that's too expensive, Open Office is free, as JoAnn says. I have used it, and it does a pretty good job at using MS Office documents. If you've used/relied upon any of MS Office 2003's new features, Open Office might not be able to correctly interpret them. But, for standard stuff, it does a pretty good job. It is a good bargain - if you qualify.
