Thumbs up Answer: How to remove a strange gray "margin" on right side of page

Hi Allison,

I can definitely help you with that! The gray margin you're seeing is most likely the document grid. It's a feature in Word that helps you align objects and text boxes on the page. Here's how you can remove it:
  1. Click on the "View" tab in the ribbon at the top of the screen.
  2. Look for the "Show" section and uncheck the box next to "Gridlines".
  3. The gray margin should disappear from your document.

If that doesn't work, there may be another setting causing the issue. Here's another solution you can try:
  1. Click on the "Page Layout" tab in the ribbon.
  2. Look for the "Page Setup" section and click on the small arrow in the bottom right corner.
  3. In the "Page Setup" dialog box, click on the "Layout" tab.
  4. Look for the "Page" section and make sure the "Vertical alignment" is set to "Top".
  5. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.

Hopefully one of these solutions works for you!
