Discourage auto-correct spelling. It harms spelling cognition.
This is a plea for the good of mankind! The use of auto-correction for
spelling in Word harms people's understanding of the language. It does not need to be eliminated, but its use should be discouraged among students and poor readers/writers. It is a necessity in certain work environments, of course, but it should not correct complex words like "anomoly," where a person should at least have to take one extra step before seeing the proper spelling. Whatever. Is anyone ever going to see this? ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
