Suddenley the pointer (is that what it is called) has changed from beeing a
visible vertical line to an almost unvisible small dot telling me where I am
in the text.
How do I change this back to "normal" -- and where do I find this kind of
information in MS help menus?

Switch to 500% Zoom and back.
