Default WHY DON'T MY SHORTCUT KEYS WORK?

My shortcut keys in Word, (like ctrl home to go to the top of a document)
does not work. When I press ctrl home, the find and replace screen comes up.
I have reload Word with no change. The shortcuts in Excel and Word pad
continue to work fine.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | General | uncheck the two boxes for
WordPerfect help and navigation | OK.
