Page shrinking to top left corner of page
Hi,
I'm having an issue that I've never had in my Word 2003 before. My 15-page document has undergone some sort of formatting malfunction that is causing it to slightly shrink every page to the top left corner of each page, both on screen and when printed. The document is formatted to have 1.25" margins on both sides, and 1" margins top and bottom on an 8.5 x 11" page. The ruler on the top of the page runs from -1.25 to 0 (left margin), then the justified text is between 0 and 6, and the ruler shows a right margin from 6 to 7.25. The ruler stops there, but the right margin expands about 1.25" beyond the end of the ruler to the right, causing a total margin width of 2.5". Also, when the document is printed, the bottom of the text is moved up as well, without affecting the page cut-off, i.e. the font has been shrunk. It is clearly not the 12 pt font I formatted. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I've tried all the basic page set-up, print options, formatting stuff, and copying and pasting into a new document that I could think of and am at my wit's end! HELP! Thanks, Katie |

Page shrinking to top left corner of page
The document contains "markup" (tracked changes or comments), and Word is
allowing extra margin space for the "balloons." It will do this for every page even if the document contains only a single comment or deletion on a single page. Turn off Track Changes and accept all changes and delete all comments. Alternatively, switch to Final view and print from that view, or select "Document" instead of "Document showing markup" in the Print dialog. -- Suzanne S.
