Center Formating is Offset
When I go to "Table Properties" and change the alignment to "center" the
table shifts too far to the right. Why won't it center evenly on the page? |

Hi Sloth,
When cantered, tables are cantered between the print margins. If your left & right margins are uneven, or you've got a margin gutter, your print margins will likely be uneven, so the table won't be cantered on the page - and neither will anything else. I've set the margins in page setup to be 0.75 for left and right. When I
center the table, the margins of the table become 7/8 and 5/8. All my text before and after the table is centered correctly, and has the correct margins. On the Table tab of Table Properties, is there an indent?

no. when I click "center" the indent section is greyed out.
I found a work around be setting the table properties to "Left", and manually set the column widths (1,3.25, and 2.75) to fill the page up to the margins. This effectively centers the table, but I would have prefered to not do that. "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: On the Table tab of Table Properties, is there an indent? -- Suzanne S. If you just want the table to fill the margin width, set the width to 100%.
